Ashley, Chris and I went to the Riparian Institute's Feathered Friends Festival. I have never been and it is a great place for scouts, boys and girls, to visit. I was happy that both my kids had a good time. We learned about native plants, birds, animals and even dug up some dinosaur bones. They had a scavenger hunt for the kids to do and lots of free goodies to pick up at the different booths.
It was nice to get up and out of the house to enjoy this beautiful weather. I am encouraged and think that we will try a family birdwalk in April.
JT spent his morning helping the Boy Scouts clean out trash cans. He enjoyed the work and came home with a lot to tell. He was happy with the work that he did and felt that he worked hard and did his best. He was especially excited that he got to use the power washer.

Those events at the Riparian Institute always look enticing to me, yet I never seem to make it there. Glad you did and enjoyed it. Jim had some pictures of the boys from the morning. JT looked like he was in his element. I do indeed think he enjoyed that power washer! :)
sounds fun...i'll have to check it out!
