Last night was our Pack's Pinewood Derby. Our committee did a fabulous job spot lighting each of the boys and their cars in a slide show. Things just get better every year! I loved the snack buffet that was set up...Emma liked it so much she took pictures.
Christopher placed second in our Pinewood Derby. He worked hard on his car. A matter of fact Jon said when we came home that he has no idea how that happened. He really feels like he knows no more now than he did with JT's first race 4 years ago. Jon's theory now is that it must be the more the boy suffers in making his car the better it does. LOL!!! Chris definitely had little to no interest in the whole process even the idea of going last night did not interest him....he is really such a homebody. Once there he was really excited and having a great time. Afterwards you could tell he felt a sense of accomplishment.
I hope all the boys had that same feeling. They each have to work so hard in all aspects of making a car... decisions, decisions, decisions. The boys all were so excited and I love watching them cheer each other on and root for the underdogs. For me and i know for many of the boys Pinewood is easily one of the highlights of the Cub Scouting adventure. What great life lessons that can be learned :)
This is how Jack spent the evening...nice!

Yeah Christopher!!! Glad to hear the Pinewood Derby went well. I'm afraid my enthusiasm for making a car just might be the same as Christopher's. Hopefully Jim and Ryan will get into it when we get to that stage. :)
