Jack had a slight set back for the couple days after the kids were home from school for summer break. With that and knowing that it was because of being just too busy with the his big brothers and sisters around I decided to pull out the big guns.
Yep! It's bribery with smarties candies. I tried this with Emma and it worked beautifully and so far it has worked equally as well with Jack.
On top of the refrigerator I place a cup or small jar of wrapper-free smarties candies. Each time Jack goes pee pee in the potty he gets 1 candy and then he can pass out one candy to each of his siblings. If he goes #2 in the potty then everyone gets 2 pieces of candy. At one time him and the kids could earn up to 3 pieces of candy. Jack loves doing this and loves sharing with his brothers and sisters.
Please share your best potty training tip or moment.

I think we are all waiting for someone to share THE ANSWER for potty training!
I think kids just have to be ready, and then it happens.

seriously I'm surprised that any of my kids is potty trained. Zach was 4 1/2. you know how people say (maybe you don't) "don't worry, they'll do it when they are ready, and besides, you never hear of kindergarteners that aren't potty trained." I was really worried I'd be the exception to that rule. NOTHING worked. Well, the Christmas advent calendar doubled as our count down until we threw all the diapers and pull-ups (what a waste of money) away. Being the oldest, I made Nick choose between being a baby like his sister, or a big kid. It was an all-or nothing thing. diapers/bottles/no freedom etc. vs. big boy underpants/big boy cups/tricycles/popcicles/playing outside/candy etc. he was potty trained in 30 minutes. some tears were shed, but it worked. Not with Zach though. at 4 years old, he walked around with a bottle all day. I blinked first. I hate potty training.
