The "Daring" books have been big hits in my household. Not that they get used ALL the time but they are loved, read and appreciated for the ideas that they have inside.
Case in point... Yesterday Ashley and I went to the bookstore to get a new book for me when she found the new Daring Book for Girls pocketbook (BTW - not pocket sized unless your a giant). We bought it and she started reading it in the van as we went to our next errand. She read about frying an egg on the sidewalk (myth) and one thing led to another and next thing I know I am taking a trip to CVS for the necessary ingredients for smores.
Ashley made her own solar oven and cooked all of us some pepperoni pizza on a cracker with smores for dessert. They took a very long time but turned out yummy anyway!
Ashley is my project child - I love that she is always coming up with a project for her to create and work on by herself. Other past creation have been numerous new card games, or paper crafts, origami, clothes for her stuffed animals, and many more. I love watching her be so creative and am thankful that I get to be part of her projects!
