I took Ashley, Chris, Emma, and Jack to the Riparian Preserve on Saturday morning. Chris was awake at 6:15 ready to go--not me. We left the house a little after 7 and spent a wonderful and cool 2 hours walking around the preserve looking for birds.
Ashley took all the pictures in the slide show. She is showing a real talent. Here are some of my favorite out of the probably 100 that she took that day.
Our favorite trail and the best place to see all the birds was on Tiger Moth Territory which is where Chris wanted to go. They had the most amazing tree full of birds that sounded like bullfrogs.
Chris said it was the best day of his life. Afterwards, we went and picked up a breakfast of donuts and chocolate milk---sweet.

Voluntary field trips! You are such a good mom!
I'm way impressed with the photography! She is really talented. Any time you can get a "best day of my life" you know you are doing great!
So, how do you leave the house at 7 in the morning?!?
WOW! She is good.
All I ever get is "This is the worst day of my life!"
Lately, anyway.
Keep encouraging that girl. She is good.
Great pictures. Looks like you saw tons of birds
Don't you love it when your kids develop a passion for something? What a fun morning! I think I'll have to take my kids down there. Ashley got some great shots! I didn't know there was such a variety of wildlife over there.
